Indefinite Leave to Remain
Once you have lived in the UK for the requisite amount of time you may apply to remain indefinitely.
You can usually apply for ILR after you’ve lived in the UK for 5 years.
There is not Immigration Health Surcharge when applying for ILR.
Student Visa
This visa is granted to those that are Married or in a Civil Partnership and are looking to settle in the UK.
This visa is granted for a period of 2.5 years and leads to permanent residence in the UK.
Work Permit
You can apply for a Skilled Worker visa if you’ve been offered a skilled job in the UK
You need to be employed by a licensed sponsor to apply to live in the UK.
They’ll assign you a certificate of sponsorship to prove this.
British Citizenship
You may be able to apply for citizenship by ‘naturalisation’, depending on your situation.
You’ll also need to have one of the following:
indefinite leave to remain
settled status under the EU Settlement Scheme
a permanent residence document to confirm you have permanent residence status
Visiting the UK
Granted for either 6 months, 2 years or 5 years.
This visa is a temporary visa and does not lead to settlement.
You may not work on this visa or live in the UK for long periods of time through frequent visits.
Spouse Visa
This visa is granted to those that are Married or in a Civil Partnership and are looking to settle in the UK.
This visa is granted for a period of 2.5 years and leads to permanent residence in the UK.
Fiance Visa
This visa is granted to those that are looking to marry in the UK.
The visa is granted for a period of 6 months, in which time you will marry.
Once married you may then apply for a Spouse Visa.
